Delano is recruiting a

Financial Journalist (m/w/x)

with a strong interest in reporting and developing stories on the financial sector in order to develop the Delano brand, both print and digital.

Responsibilities

  • As a journalist you will write quality, original content in English for Delano’s quarterly magazine and its website;
  • The articles will be specially related to the financial sector, with a primary focus on Luxembourg;
  • You will also contribute to and help coordinate our daily and thematic newsletters;
  • You will research and develop content that matches the specific requirements of Maison Moderne’s media channels and have the opportunity to moderate live events;
  • You will engage in social media management and monitor its performance.

Profile

  • You hold university-level qualifications, ideally in journalism, communication, finance, business or economics and already have solid experience working as a journalist or writer;
  • You are a superb journalist with a proven ability to write, edit and conduct in-depth research and interviews;
  • You also have a solid understanding of digital communication, digital publishing and social media;
  • You are dynamic, always positive and have a strong ability to propose story ideas and sources, and creative, fresh ideas.
  • You are a reliable source of proposals on how to innovate and improve the media brand;
  • You love to boost your team and help them to achieve their best;
  • You are able to adapt your writing style to suit different communication channels;
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, can work independently and meet deadlines, and are highly organised;
  • You speak and write English at a native level and have good knowledge of French; German and/or Luxembourgish would be considered an advantage.
